The 1st Child of Britain awards 2022

Last month I took Bruno to the Grosvenor House hotel in London for the very 1st Child of Britain awards 2022.

The Child of Britain Awards evening was emotional, inspirational and unforgettable for everyone. Hosted by the longest serving breakfast television anchor in the world Eamonn Holmes Obe who helped tell and share the Child of Britain winners’ stories. International performing artist, Calum Scott – along with his band performed  on the night which mad the night even more special for our winners, their families and our guests. Calum is a huge supporter of our chosen charity Cash for Kids.

The Child of Britain Awards started life as a modest idea following on from the inaugural Child of Wales Awards, which took place in March 2022 and was hosted by Gethin Jones.Which we also attended with Posh Booth

Blanche and Mark Sainsbury (Andrew’s sister and brother-in-law) always have been inspired by children: the remarkable talent and bravery they can exhibit, and the extraordinary feats that many achieve.

They have attended many events over the years that celebrate the inspiring stories of individuals and communities. These events usually celebrate the achievements of some children – but there were none we could see that solely dedicated honours to children and young people.  Blanche & Mark’s  vision was an evening dedicated to the triumphs and successes and the bravery and courage of Britain’s young people.

A phenomenal commitment  and support from the sponsors, guests and businesses that have committed time, money and resource helped make The Children of Britain Awards possible.

Blanche & Mark’s aim is to shine a light on both the brave young individuals of Britain who overcome challenges every day, as well as some of the amazingly talented young people we have in this country.

The Child of Britain awards want to recognise those who never give up, never stop trying – inspiring all in the process. Blanche & Mark  are dedicated to finding inspirational children, whilst also raising money for children’s charities

The Child of Britain Awards 2022 winners were honoured in an unforgettable ceremony.  The star studded event shone a light on some of the most incredible children and young people from across our nation. You can follow their stories on here.

On the Night, the  money was raised for Cash for Kids, which supports children and young people affected by poverty, abuse, neglect, life-limiting illness, and those who have additional needs. Previously they raised funds for Teenage Cancer Trust, NSPCC, Dreams and Wishes and The Red Cross Ukraine crisis appeal through the Child of Wales Awards.

Founder of the awards, Blanche Sainsbury, said “We are delighted with the success of the inaugural awards. The night was a truly magical evening for our winners and our guests. We are thrilled to have raise £31,400 for Cash For Kids, despite cancellations due to rail strikes, this has added to our fundraising amount for 2022 – which now totals £87,727. The awards were incepted to shine a light on the incredible achievements of children and young people from across the UK and the awards evening did just that. We are so grateful for all of the support from sponsors, guests and celebrities and we can’t wait for 2023.”

Younger Photography & Posh Booth are very proud to support the Child of Britain awards. Andrew & I were so pleased to be able to support the awards and be on hand the help create amazing memories of that special night.Preparations for the 2023 awards are already underway and sponsorship options are open, with nominations opening in late summer/early autumn. we can not wait.
